Introduction

Ingredients (Makes 2 medium pizzas):

  • 3 ½ cups all purpose flour

  • 1 ½ cups warm water

  • 2 tsp sugar

  • 2 tsp salt

  • 2 tsp instant yeast

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 cup pizza sauce (homemade or store bought)

  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

  • Fresh basil leaves (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.

  2. Add flour, salt, and olive oil. Knead into a smooth dough. Cover and let rise for 1–2 hours.

  3. Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C). Roll out dough into thin circles.

  4. Spread sauce, sprinkle mozzarella, and bake for 12–15 minutes.

  5. Garnish with basil and slice it up New York-style big and foldable.
